How installation works
For Android and Chrome/Edge desktop: open the hosted HTTPS version once, then choose Install App or the browser menu’s Install app / Add to Home screen. Only install after the status says OFFLINE READY. Then test once in airplane mode. If you opened a downloaded HTML file, it works offline but cannot install as a PWA from a file address.
